Volunteer

Friends of Gorges State Park members help support the park in many ways. One very important way is donation of time! Under the direction of the park superintendent and a ranger designated as volunteer coordinator, FOG members and other volunteers are deployed on trail maintenance, greeting the public at the visitors center, and assisting with special projects at the park. Investing your time can be a very rewarding way to contribute to the future success of Gorges State Park.

We have several upcoming volunteer opportunitiesǃ Check out our trailhead hospitality volunteer form to sign up today!

Park Ambassador Program

The Park Ambassador Program aims to bring direct community support to Gorges State Park! FOG members and volunteers will play a supporting role at events and programs throughout the year. The hope of the Park Ambassador Program is to build a bridge between the park and our wonderful volunteers while uplifting and supporting outreach initiatives. Each volunteer will receive a free volunteer T-shirt. This is a rain or shine event; the FOG tent will provide protection from the sun and rain.
